McCall's M6886 from Love Sewing magazine

I think this has to be one of the easiest things I've ever made - and it's an absolute star.

The pattern was a freebie from Love Sewing magazine ages ago and I probably wouldn't have looked twice at it but then I kept seeing versions made by various bloggers.

The fabric is a printed "scuba crepe" - whatever that is! I'm not really sure what scuba is meant to imply - its certainly not made from neoprene. But it's a nice medium weight jersey and a doddle to sew with.

A shot sitting down for no reason at all.

From cutting to wearing took only a few hours and even my pattern matching at the sides was pretty spot on.

It is so easy to wear. The simple design means it becomes a perfect showcase for the fabric. I can picture having this in different designs and different lengths and not getting bored of it. In fact I'm already planning my next one...
